Yesterday the 9 august I update my daughter her computer to the april update, same I did on my computer and her laptop.
Wen the computer had done the installation and the first restart the computer gave me a blue screen.
What ever I did with all the options that windows 10 offers no result, blue screen kept coming back.
Than I had an image from a backup installed that worked out, image from novembre 2017.
when this was done I copy pasted all pictures, documents and all that was importent to us, this took hours but end off the day the computer worked again.
Today I planned to install all hardware, printers, pen scan, label writer and so on.
But what a surprise after the computer started the blue screen came back up.
No way in the world I good do any thing whit windows 10, but at least he gave me following failure code- system license violation.
This means for Microsoft the software I try to use or install is not legal.
How is this possible I installed Windows 10 when it became available in exchange for my windows 7 and worked fine for the last 3 years.
After some research I found out that the last update was not installed on drive C but on drive E how is this possible.
Off course than I understood that because the new drive C had no Licensed copy installed, because the licensed copy is now on drive E.
Microsoft called it an violation but I have a legal copy.
I would appreciate it if Microsoft would send me a new product key so I can do a format and a clean installation on the C drive.
Also I would like to know how it is possible that the update was installed on the wrong drive.
The drive it installed it self was the drive with the backup.
